Believe it or not, last September’s posting of Page 2 of the Hero Happy Hour colours I did was not the last page that was posted.
I have been asked to colour Part 2 of the Cease and Desist storyline so I thought now would be a good time to get my ass in gear and post a round up of all the pages of Part 1.
These pages were all drawn by the super talented Grant Perkins and inked by the lovely Eva Perkins, Part 2 will be art by Chris Fason (the co-creator of HHH) and as such is a slight change of colouring style. Hopefully I do it justice.
Again I’ll try and update reguarly including details of a few other projects I’m working on, I give it four months bfore the updates dry up again.
Here’s one of the pieces I have been colouring between writing as part of my thing a day. Saturday may suffer thing-a-day wise but I will be at Alt.fiction with loads of cool people so I think it’s justified.

Just wanted to post a recent piece I coloured on request of a friend. Gargoyle (DaveW) from the ‘Waiting for the Trade’ commissioned this Dredd sketch from the awesome Jimmy Bott and I haphazardly slapped some tones on it.
I’ve also just finished with the last of the Hometown Heroes #0 issue pages leaving me some time now to sink my teeth into some more projects, more on those soon though.
Just a quick update, last time the Insomnia Publications blog (theredeye) was update Shiver was mentioned as an upcoming title along with a number of other great looking projects due from them.
Recently I’ve been working on getting a bunch of short scripts done as well as working on Shiver and finishing off the colours I had promised Chad Cicconi (Baby Boomers) which along with my starting a new job means I’ve been busy, busy, busy.
for now here’s a peek through the keyhole at a page I’ve just finished of Baby Boomers.
Expect more updates soon as I start making headway on some of the projects I’m working on.
How do? ‘Tis late so I shall keep this short. Things are going well, I did not play SPORE once that weekend… Pro Evo got me for a few hours but I got some work done too.
I have almost finished the rest of the character bios for Chad, I have been through the Pilgrimage dialogue a few times and have also been developing an idea I have… another superhero story… I’m really excited about it.
I’ve also been colouring again… this time… this time I even impressed myself… let me know what you think… comments are now open for everyone. No registering needed.

EDIT :
Muady suggested it might look better with a different colour/shade in the background… it’s an easy change so how about this … ?
You don’t know how difficult it has been to drag myself from playing SPORE this weekend, however I know that if I even went on it for a little while I’d still be on it come bed time.
Anyway! The dust has now settled on the CGS Super Show and from the sounds of Scott’s post over at Resolution Comics, it went pretty well despite not having the finished comic there. I’m very interested in seeing what the reception is at the next con when there’s actually a product to sell.
That’s all out of my hands now though which is good as I have been very busy recently. I sent a number of ideas to Chad Cicconi and he picked his favourite, we’re now developing it for submission to a print publisher rather than the Zuda.com route.
The project itself is tentatively titled EduKate and is a story that features super heroes of all different types and power levels. Chad has begun sketching out ideas for the character bios I sent him and I had the first one back yesterday. Here’s a teaser snippet of it :
Out of this whole process of getting ideas to Chad I also generated a number of other story concepts that I am very excited about and now have a whole folder full of things to develop both in the Horror/Sci-fi genres and a few more Super Hero ideas.
However for now I need to finish off the character bios for EduKate, then I need to finish off a Prose story to post over at in the Geek Syndicate Writers Competition, then I need to go over the dialogue of ‘Pilgrimage’ and tighten it up in anticipation of getting some pages back from Marc, as well as doing some work on Seeing Shadows. That’s just writing wise in terms of colours I need to get myself some random sequential pages to practice colouring on as it’s much different colouring sequential than it is to colour the pin ups you see me post here.
I also need to practice my lettering with those same pages… my aim for this weekend is not to go on SPORE at all, it’s a weekend of work for me… *sigh*
To conclude this post here’s my latest colour job, I was trying my best to get some ambient lighting from the cape etc to shine on her outfit etc… I think I did an okay job, I need to work on my hair colouring though. Gah!
