Believe it or not, last September’s posting of Page 2 of the Hero Happy Hour colours I did was not the last page that was posted.

I have been asked to colour Part 2 of the Cease and Desist storyline so I thought now would be a good time to get my ass in gear and post a round up of all the pages of Part 1.

These pages were all drawn by the super talented Grant Perkins and inked by the lovely Eva Perkins, Part 2 will be art by Chris Fason (the co-creator of HHH) and as such is a slight change of colouring style. Hopefully I do it justice.

Again I’ll try and update reguarly including details of a few other projects I’m working on, I give it four months bfore the updates dry up again.

Aaaaand it’s finished.
Liam Sharp has kindly given me permission to post my attempt at colouring one of his Gears of War pages.

I’m sort of okay with how it came out, may have overcooked it as I was aiming for a mor subtle look but I’ll just have to do better next time.

I’ve purposefully not looked at the original issue whilst colouring but may dig it out again to take a look and compare how it should be done.

I have a long weekend now (not back at work till Wednesday so hopefully my thingaday will be come afewthingsaday.

Signs of Life

So I haven’t posted for a while, it happens and I’m sorry.

This weekend I went to the Bristol Comic and Small Press Expo, it was a wonderful and really re-ignited my passion.

To that end I’m starting ‘thingaday’, where by I will aim to do at least one thing each day – writing/colours or letters – and will then post about it here.

It started today as I began colouring a Gears of War sequential and got all the flats laid so far.

I can now go to bed and then come back to that or some writing tomorrow.

I will also try and update about my other projects tomorrow, lots to report… *yawn*

For now goodnight.

A BELATED BICS ROUND UP

well folks, BICS (British International Comics Show) came and went, leaving a trail of destruction in my liver and my wallet. It was a great weekend filled with meeting both old and new friends.

I did a bit of self promotion, handed out some ‘”business cards” and although I didn’t lug my portfolio around I managed to sort out a few things I had intended to and hopefully sow some seeds for some future comics work whatever form it may take.

I wont dwell on the specifics of the con, I’ll just post these three pictures and then some links to some other blogs and coverage of the convention.
