‘thingaday’ not ‘postaday’

I’m late posting but yesterdays ‘thingaday’ was plotting and arranging scenes for a project I’m in the early stages of that will have the talented Valia Kapadai handling artchores.
We’re going to whip up some pages and such and try pitching them to a few publishers whom we have in mind so look for mor on that in the future.

Todays ‘thingaday’ will be writing some more of Shiver and I will only play on Red Dead Redemption when I have written at least 5 pages. Honest Injun!

Mo’ Info

One of the other reasons for the change to ComicPress is that I am participating in a ‘Drawing Words & Writing Pictures’ Nomad Groups over at ‘The Comic Forums’ which is basically a group of comic creators (wether they be writers or artists) working their way through this book called ‘Drawing Words and Writing Pictures’.

The book is like a textbook / syllabus for comic creation and it will involve me drawing scripts as exercises then discussing and critiquing with the rest of the group.
I have no art skills to speak of so the comics above may turn out to be horrendous but the point of the Nomad Group is to get better and more creative. Maybe I’ll find a creative way around my lack of art skills… maybe not. Hopefully it’ll help me in a bunch of other ways too though.

*fingers crossed*

I have once again torn chunks from the Comic script that I am focusing on at present, needed to get the first 5 pages to be a nice contained action packed chunk as I may send it as a pitch to Shadowline. I think I have those pages working well now and I have begun re-planning the the rest of the action to fit in three separate 22page issues.

I also have a prose story I need to finish for the Derby Scribes Isolation competition as well as another one I need to start for the GeekSyndicate writing competition over at ‘The Comic Forums’.

It’s going to be a busy month and then NaNoWriMo is looming large again in a few months too, I need to try and avoid the XBox… my arch nemesis!!!

Cheers,
Chris
